In order to respect your trust, Snug Mutt guarantees as a priority the protection of your personal data and the confidentiality of our customers (hereinafter "Your Data").
For complete transparency, and to guarantee secure use of our website snugmutt.com in all its available versions and related applications (hereinafter the "Snug Mutt Site"), we make available the way in which we process your data, so that our services always comply with the respect of your rights. In this way, we ensure the security, confidentiality, and non-alteration of your privacy and your data across all our platforms.
Our policy guarantees that all precautions necessary to protect all of your data against disclosure, loss or alteration are taken. We therefore make available all the elements allowing you to easily understand how we process your data. This data will only be kept for as long as necessary for the management and processing purposes defined below. Snug Mutt publishes the Snug Mutt Site and, as such, implements various processing operations on your Data as the data controller.
3. FOR WHAT PURPOSES DO WE PROCESS YOUR DATA?
3.1. When do we collect your personal data?
Your personal data may be collected when you visit the Snug Mutt Site using cookies, when you create a customer account, when you place an order for one of our products or services, or when you accept to receive our newsletters (SMS, emails).
Your personal data helps us make your browsing on the Snug Mutt Site smoother and to offer you a more personalized experience. We can thus best process your orders, prevent fraud, process refunds, and manage your customer reviews.

For orders involving installment payments, your data is processed in order to offer you this type of payment. The legal basis is the performance of the contract between both parties, while your consent remains the basis for the processing of your banking data.

To allow you to share your reviews with our customers and visitors, we use your data based on your consent or our legitimate interest.
3.6. Payment collection and fraud prevention
In order to enable payment collection and fraud prevention, we use your data. The legal basis is the performance of the contract and the legitimate interest of Snug Mutt as data controller.
3.7. Advertising management
Your data is used to manage Snug Mutt's advertising operations, including growing our customer base, managing marketing campaigns, and promotional operations.
The legal basis is your consent or the legitimate interest of Snug Mutt.
4. WHERE DOES YOUR DATA GO?
Your data is shared with several internal Snug Mutt departments. It is not sent to third parties, except in the following situations:
To process your orders, your personal data may be transmitted to providers specializing in banking transactions, customer relations, after-sales service, delivery, IT development, website management, or the provision of guarantees or insurance.
For installment payments, your data may be shared with payment centers and banks, call centers, or customer review management systems.
5. DATA RETENTION
The data collected by Snug Mutt is kept only for the time necessary for the purposes described in Section 3.
Prospects: kept for 3 years from the last customer contact.
Orders and customers: kept in active files for 5 years from the end of the order, then in intermediate archives for a further 5 years.
Banking data: kept for the duration of the card's validity (plus one day).

6. YOUR RIGHTS
6.1. You have the right to request access, modification, and rectification of your Data.
6.2. You have the right to request restriction of the processing of your Data.
6.3. You have the right to request deletion of your Data. Snug Mutt may however retain data in intermediate archive format for the time necessary to meet its legal, accounting, and tax obligations.
6.4. You have the right to object to processing for commercial prospecting purposes.

For SMS prospecting: reply STOP to any SMS or contact us at contact@snugmutt.com.
6.5. You have the right to submit post-mortem instructions regarding the retention, deletion, and communication of your personal data. In the absence of such instructions, your heirs may contact Snug Mutt to access data usage, close the account, or request that processing cease.
6.6. You have the right to request data portability.
6.7. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time for processing based on that legal basis. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
6.8. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority in your jurisdiction (in Canada: the Office of the Privacy Commissioner — https://www.priv.gc.ca).
